Gaffi Stick Build

This is the assembly process for the Gaffi Stick Kit I offer.  Except for the resin pineapple head and the fin placement template, all parts can be found at your hardware store.

The Kit.  Missing from this picture is the cut vinyl fin placement template.

2.5" from the end apply to copper pipe along one of the printed lines on it (this ensures they are square)

using a Sharpie, mark the lines in the voids.

Remove template mask and use a dremel or angle grinder to remove marked lines

Place fins into slots one at a time and secure with hot glue simulating a welded effect.  Fins have two different angles.  The steeper one faces the spike end.
When done with the fins, add the small sintra ring to the copper shaft about 1.5" from the fins, opposite the spike.

Wooden shaft
Place the larger, rounded sintra ring on the end with the hole (where the spiked end slides in) and glue in place
Place the curved piece of conduit over the tapered end and glue in place
Place the pineapple head on the other end of the curved conduit and secure in place with adhesive.
Paint assembled wooden shaft your choice of brown.

Connect the two completed parts and weather/adorn as you choose.

Note: when local weather allows, I do some of the above pre-delivery, notably adding the fin slots in the copper shaft, adding the receiver hole for the copper shaft to slot into the wooden shaft and, on the opposite end, adding the receiver hole for the electrical conduit to slide into the gaffi head.
