  1. We finally got all of the fabric and dye so we could get started on our costumes! Today we got through the first dye process. We will see when it all dries to know if we need to go darker or not. 45 yards of fabric is a BEAST to dye! But this is for 2 male Tusken Raiders and 1 female Tusken Raider...so we’re trying to do all of them at the same time. If we don’t need to go darker, then I should be able to sew tomorrow. 2. Hello everyone! I've been a silent admirer of the 501st for a number of years and finally made the decision to try my hand at making a costume and join the 501st! I have chosen to make a Female Tusken Raider as my first costume for membership. Thankfully I've known how to sew for many years, so that part shouldn't be too difficult. I'm eager to get my costume made so I can get approved and start doing 501st events! My husband is making a Male Tusken Raider so we will be a couple at events. At least that's the idea. I'm a retired veteran and have 3 children. We've had the chance to travel all over the world while serving in the military and hope to do more in the years to come!
