  6. mask wraps dye concern

it turned out the next morning, after drying completely. the fabric was barely darker than when i started. so i made up a new coffee bath, this time with a little more coffee. soaked the wraps for 3 hours and now they look great. even dry.
  7. mask wraps dye concern

i think i had used too much coffee. i used much less coffee and no tea and the wraps turned out great. i had to leave it in the soak for about 90 min. but i kept checking on it every 30 until it was the color i was looking for. i probably couldve left in for another 30 min, but i was starting to worry that it would turn out too dark again thanks everyone for your help
  8. mask wraps dye concern

wraps dried. same color washed wraps. same color tossing out these and buying some new duck cloth, going to try again

  12. robe assistance.

hello everyone. i have started my tusken build. i have the duck cloth for the wrappings and the onsberg fabric for the inner. i am planning on using the SC pattern for those, but i am considering the tk4209 pattern. i have ordered a bucket kit from jawachop shop and my rebreather is nearly completed. i have 2 replica bandoliers ( p1903 and martini henry) i was planning building the custom waist bandolier, but might but another martini henry(if thats allowed) ok, so on to the questions. i have been looking all through the forums, and i cant seem to find answers to a couple questions about the outer robe. 1) Is this type of monks cloth approvable for the outer robe? click here 2)how much monks cloth is needed for the outer robe? ive read 10 yards and 6 yards. the tk4209 shows the length being 4 yards but the width is 70 " i can only find 60" wide monks cloth. i have also read can have a seam down the back, but not sure how to lay out the fabric 3) would i lie the two 4 yard lengths side by side and sew them down the back. then cut off excess equally from each "arm" i have seen plenty of one piece robes and would prefer that method if i can find the correct width thank you in advance for any help and advice
